Of everything I did and visited in Peru, Machu Picchu was simply the best. I booked in advanced as me and my husband wanted to hike up to Huayna Picchu and even thought we didn’t have as much time to spend it in the site itself it was still worth it and I would do it again maybe adding one more night in Aguas Calientes, so that’s my only recommendation if you’re doing Huayna Picchu! Special thanks to our guide Sergio who was the most caring and deliver historic information and relevant facts that were much appreciated as I’m a teacher.
    Thank you Sergio!

Getting to Machu Picchu from Cusco is quite the journey, started pretty early where we were pick up by a super kind representative that explained us that will be driven to the train station 2 hours away and then we boarded the train, pretty views along the way and when we reach Aguas Calientes (where Machu Picchu is located) we finally met our guide Daniel. From there everything was way easier as we took the bus up to Machu Picchu that was around 30 min and then we were there in this amazing construction that blown my mind. Honestly our guide was the best, gave us great information and made jokes all the time as we were a young group we enjoyed that a lot! We couldn’t get the Huayna Picchu ticket but heard that it’s worth the hike, still we managed to do the Sun Gate and it was the cherry on top of this trip.
